Similarity Check Guideline
Authors must ensure that submissions are original and properly referenced. NJLLCS screens all manuscripts using iThenticate; an overall similarity index above 20% or any single-source match of 5% or more will prompt editorial review. Manuscripts with excessive or unexplained similarity will be rejected without further consideration.
Authors should disclose prior dissemination (e.g. theses, preprints, conference papers) at submission and provide links or copies where relevant; legitimate overlap will be evaluated case-by-case. Similarity reports are advisory tools and do not by themselves establish misconduct; questions may be directed to the NJLLCS editorial office.
